The term flywheel bugs me.

Feels like sleazy marketing jargon — the kind that gets thrown around on whiteboards and TEDx stages like it means something big. Usually it doesn't.

But this time, I’ll make an exception.

Because the concept behind it, compounding motion that gets easier over time, fits exactly what I’m building with Niche of One.

It’s not about hustle. It’s about momentum. Not overnight growth, but sustainable progress that builds on itself with every honest step.

Here’s how the Niche of One Flywheel actually works, and how you can build your own.

1. Make Simple Things

Start with something small, useful, and real.

  • A blog post that shares your process
  • A template that saves you 15 minutes
  • A short eBook you actually use yourself

This isn’t about creating flashy products. It’s about putting something honest into the world. The simpler it is, the easier it is to finish. The easier it is to finish, the faster you get feedback. And that feedback fuels the next spin of the wheel.

I don't create things to make money. I create things I can use to make my life easier. Money is a secondary bonus.

2. Share Them Honestly

No gimmicks. No fake urgency. No “only 3 spots left!”

Just share what you made — what worked, what didn’t, and what you learned.

Your newsletter, blog, or social channel becomes the engine for trust. You’re not pushing. You’re pulling in people who think like you.

And when you're transparent, you turn audience into allies.

3. Sell What’s Already Working

Instead of building things you hope people want, sell the things people are already using, asking for, or talking about.

That blog post that hit a nerve? Expand it.

That workflow that keeps you sane? Package it.

This is where minimalism becomes a superpower. You don’t need to scale up; you need to double down. You’re selling from surplus, not desperation.

4. Support a Community

Eventually, the right people stick around. They’re not just followers — they’re fellow travelers.

Invite them behind the curtain.

Give them early access.

Ask them what they need.

That shared momentum is what keeps the flywheel moving, even when your energy dips.

5. Improve in Public

The flywheel doesn’t work if you fake it.

Show the missteps. The course corrections. The better version of that thing you made last year.

The work improves. The trust deepens. The flywheel spins faster.

And all of it, your content, your products, your people, starts to reinforce itself. Less output. More impact.
